There are a number of things that make a game compelling for some people. Some players have a natural inclination towards certain genres. For some, it is the sociability that is available in the game. Of course, it can sometimes be the opposite for people who prefer playing alone. Another big factor is of course the hardware that one has and the games that are available on that hardware. Whatever it is, each player has their own preferences that, most of the time, is difficult to give up on. For a lot of strategy game lovers, there are personal criteria that must be filled.

Vikings: War of Clans is a great combination of all the things that a player would want in a strategy game. Marvellous graphics, fascinating tactical gameplay, and the never ending competitive environment of Vikings: War of Clans all contribute to its staying power. Though the game format is not incredibly new, what sets it apart from its competitors is its unique thematic elements and rivalry that it fosters among Viking clans. Nowadays, it is quite hard to find a game with innovative concepts and captivating game play.

There have been a great many reviews about the notable features of the game. On the Apple App Store, Vikings: War of Clans enjoys a 4.4 star rating from 11 thousand reviews. In another application store, Google Play Store in particular, Vikings: War of Clans also has 4.4 stars and more than 900 thousand reviews. Other reviewers are also pointing out the leadership values that the game can instil in any player; particularly those who become Jarls. Whoever the reviews are from, they all ring the same – more than the enjoyment that the game brings, there are also definitely some principles that we can learn from Vikings: War of Clans.

Being a Viking Jarl or even a mere clan ranker all entails some responsibilities that contribute to the overall well-being of the clan. According to Paul Glader of Berlin School of Creative Leadership, “good leadership … takes time, thought and engagement. It also takes a team”. For Frédéric Lefebvre, a French politician, the game play of Vikings: War of Clans is very reminiscent to certain public situations which are all affected by factors like politics and systemic challenges. A game that relates to actual ideals will of course merit great reactions from its players.
